TribalVision Managing Partner Chris Ciunci Presents Market Smarter Workshop

Posted

PROVIDENCE, RI

TribalVision Founder and Managing Partner Chris Ciunci conducted a 90-minute Market Smarter workshop at the Providence Marriott on November 12th. The presentation, “10 Marketing Tips To Drive Top Line Growth,” offered practical tips for growing any business year over year for the 50 small business owners, CEOS, and executives in attendance.

Standard marketing tactics no longer suffice in today’s complex marketing landscape, and Ciunci offered an alternate definition of marketing for this new era. Marketing is now an inter-departmental task that encompasses all areas of a business. Marketing efforts should be judged based on business results, and every facet of a business affects the bottom line.

Instead of devoting time to one-off traditional tactics, marketers must pursue a holistic plan designed to grow the business. As detailed by Ciunci, marketers should be “in the trenches” at all times. They must understand every step in the consumer journey and every process in the company in order to streamline both and continually drive growth.

After redefining marketing, Ciunci provided actionable insights into how to immediately begin transforming a business. Opportunities discussed included; crafting an impactful marketing plan, developing quality assets, adding in the right marketing metrics, revamping a digital presence, and implementing marketing automation software.

Attendees across all industries left the presentation with both immediately applicable ideas and a new way of looking at marketing. One attendee interviewed commented, “I hadn’t previously thought of marketing as so all-encompassing. Chris’ presentation gave me some great new ideas that I can take back with me today and implement immediately at my organization.”

Ciunci was thrilled to hear the positive responsive to the Market Smarter workshop, saying, “Our mission at TribalVision is to help organizations grow, so I am always happy to see our learnings having an impact in the business community.”

Providence Business News Names TribalVision 2015 Most Innovative Company winner for Professional Services

Posted

8/24/15 PROVIDENCE – TribalVision has been selected by Providence Business News as the 2015 Most Innovative Company winner for the Professional Services category. Innovation winners from multiple industry categories were selected for having a new product or process that has had a significant impact on the marketplace and/or the enterprise. Some of the region’s most well respected companies have been recipients of this prestigious award.

TribalVision’s innovative marketing model extends back to Managing Partner Chris Ciunci’s days as a Chief Marketing Officer overseeing a multi-million dollar marketing budget. As the gatekeeper to such a large budget, Chris was approached daily by marketing firms and advertising agencies who wanted to assist him in spending a portion of his budget on the product or service they were selling. Ultimately, they seldom had his best interests in mind given their intentions of selling their firm’s marketing product(s) often trumped taking a more holistic, client-first approach.

Given this experience, Chris set out to change the marketing ecosystem between businesses looking for marketing help and the options available. Rather than embracing the same conflict-ridden model that Chris experienced on the client side, he decided to reshape the way business is done in the marketing arena for clients. What resulted is an ‘Interests-Aligned’ business model that breaks many of the conventional practices of serving clients.

“Being recognized with this award is a great testament to the power of our interests-aligned business model that places the client’s interests over our own. To see the business community react to this in such a powerful, demonstrative way is certainly gratifying” remarked Chris.

Partner Damien Cabral attributes TribalVision’s success to the passion the team members bring to TribalVision, “The key to our growing recognition is our top-notch team who strive every day to deliver superior marketing strategies and results to our clients.”

The awards ceremony will take place on September 17th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel located in Warwick, Rhode Island.

TribalVision Ranks No. 899 on the 2015 Inc.5000 List of Fastest Growing Private Companies in America

Posted

NEW YORK, August 12, 2015Inc. magazine today ranked TribalVision # 899 on its 34th annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. With 499% revenue growth in the prior three year period, TribalVision has joined an elite group of organizations on the Inc5000 list that have included the likes of Microsoft, Oracle, Chobani, Timberland and Zappos.

“This accomplishment is a testament to the razor-sharp focus and business acumen of each and every team member,” stated TribalVision Partner Damien Cabral. “We couldn’t be prouder of our amazing, dedicated team of marketing experts who have worked tirelessly for this level of achievement to be realized. Much of our growth can be attributed to the impact they are having each day with the strategies being recommended and the tactics being implemented on behalf of our clients.”

Starting from the dining room table of Managing Partner Chris Ciunci’s house, TribalVision’s story is compelling. Dissatisfied with the results produced by traditional marketing companies and ad agencies servicing Chris’s marketing needs as the CMO of a Federal Savings Bank, Chris along with colleagues Damien Cabral and Younes Lattenist built an interests-aligned marketing model that stressed a strategy-first and results-driven approach that placed top-line growth over creative and design ambitions. What has resulted is a diverse portfolio of satisfied corporations and non-profits spanning New England who have leveraged TribalVision as their outsourced marketing department for hire tasked with growing their organizations.

Chris Ciunci stated, “We took a chance years ago to build a marketing model that didn’t really exist in the region. The thought of developing comprehensive, objective marketing strategies up-front for clients and not having designers, videographers and developers on staff was unheard of at the time. Fortunately, we really hit a nerve in the marketplace with our offering and we haven’t looked back.”

The 2015 Inc. 5000, unveiled online at Inc.com and with the top 500 companies featured in the September issue of Inc. is the most competitive crop in the list’s history. The average company on the list achieved a three-year growth of 490%. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue is $205 billion, generating 647,000 jobs over the past three years. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000.

The annual Inc. 5000 event honoring all the companies on the list will be held from October 21 through 23, 2015 in Orlando. Speakers include some of the greatest entrepreneurs of this and past generations, such as Marcus Lemonis, host of the CNBC show “The Profit,” Robert Herjavec, one of the main “sharks” on ABC-TV’s “Shark Tank,” KIND Founder and CEO Daniel Lubetzky, and Co-Founder of Goodshop.com JJ Ramberg.

TribalVision CEO Chris Ciunci Interviewed in GoLocalProv Spotlight

Posted

TribalVision’s Founder & CEO Chris Ciunci was interviewed this week by GoLocalProv as an “individual who is making an impact on Rhode Island.” GoLocalProv’s weekly feature spotlight offers readers an opportunity to gain insight and understanding of contributive leaders in the Rhode Island community.

As a recent recipient of the U.S. Small Business Administration Small Business Person of the Year for Rhode Island, CEO Chis Ciunci highlights the particular niche TribalVision’s mission and model fulfills in meeting the specific marketing needs of small to mid-size business owners. “…without an internal marketing department [business owners] find it daunting to afford the high creative fees of an ad agency, or to pay the salary of a full-time VP of Marketing. As a result, an internal point person wearing many company hats with little marketing acumen has been placed in the role of ‘Head of Marketing’ when ultimately it is not their area of expertise,” explained Chris Ciunci.

TribalVision’s clearly defined mission, to help organizations market smarter, fuels how the TribalVision Team employs their time to ensure measurable returns for each marketing dollar spent. As Chris Ciunci explained, “With the founding of TribalVision – an outsourced marketing department for hire – organizations access a level of in-depth strategic thinking and detailed execution they didn’t think they could afford. Unlike a traditional ad agency or marketing firm, our compensation is fee-based with no commissions or markups. For what it would cost to hire a mid-level marketing person with general knowledge, we provide our clients with a cutting-edge team with decades of combined and specialized experience.”

When asked what his greatest professional accomplishment has been so far, CEO Chris Ciunci points to the Tribal Team with sureness. “We recently hired our 30th full time employee, and I can look at each teammate and feel proud knowing that s/he is intelligent, passionate, and fully on board with our mission of helping business owners market smarter. It is rare to find such a great team makeup that we have with everyone rowing together.” This synchronicity allows for TribalVision’s persistent laser-like focus on client pain-points.

Providence Business News Names TribalVision One of Rhode Island’s Best Places to Work

Posted

TribalVision has been selected as a winner of PBN’s annual Best Places to Work competition. TribalVision was one of a select group of companies to be awarded in the small business category, as the competition’s popularity continues to grow. Honorees were selected based on management reports and confidential employee surveys.

TribalVision will be honored June 10th at the Providence Business News awards gala. Fifty-five finalists were named across four size categories, with a 22% increase in participation across Rhode Island.

Companies competing for the award completed an extensive evaluation of their employee treatment, benefits, and policies. They were required to submit a 70-question confidential survey probing all aspects of their work life and satisfaction. These two factors were weighted and scored to select this year’s winners.

In August, TribalVision was also awarded a finalist spot as one of Rhode Island’s Fastest Growing Businesses, another PBN award. “These two awards really represent what we’re trying to achieve with TribalVision. We have found a great market niche, and have had explosive growth, but we also want to make sure we’re providing the best possible workplace for our team,” CEO Chris Ciunci stated. “Without such a strong team dynamic, we wouldn’t be able to achieve such standout results for our clients. At TribalVision we are always looking for ways to strengthen and delight our team. They are our internal tribe and without their amazing efforts we wouldn’t be where we are today.”

TribalVision is proud to be in the company of other highly esteemed organizations who have been honored with this title, such as Banneker Industries, Cameron & Mittelman, DiSanto Priest & Co., People’s Credit Union and Swipely.

These prestigious awards are held annually, with one winner chosen from each U.S. state or territory. Awards are given on the basis of criteria such as staying power, growth in number of employees, increase in sales and/or unit volume, current and past financial performance, innovativeness of product or service offered, response to adversity, and contributions to community-oriented projects.

TribalVision is a marketing consulting firm known for its ability to grow businesses through both strategy and implementation. Only four years after its founding, TribalVision currently serves 35+ clients and employs 30 employees spread over 4 offices and 2 countries. The 2015 awards were particularly competitive. As U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Maria Contreras-Sweet said, “Competition was extremely keen across the nation for these prestigious awards. I couldn’t be any prouder than recognizing these outstanding entrepreneurs and small business owners, they represent the backbone of our economy.”

Ciunci was honored to be recognized stating, “I am thrilled to receive this award on behalf of the entire TribalVision team, who have worked so hard to create and sustain something so unique and impactful in the marketplace.” Chris also attributed winning the award to the results TribalVision is driving for its clients: “It is a testament to the great work that we are doing for our amazing clients. We have achieved success because what we have put together is working and driving growth for our clients across New England, and that is what is most gratifying.

Chris is now in the running for the National Small Business Person of the Year, which will be announced during National Small Business Week. He will also be honored in a ceremony on May 8th in Washington D.C. alongside the other state winners.

TribalVision VP Suzy Im Selected to Author ‘Market Smarter’ Column Series in Korean eTimes

Posted

TribalVision Vice President Suzy Im has been selected to author a guest column series about marketing in the Korean business newspaper ETNews, better known as the eTimes. The paper periodically invites industry thought leaders to write articles or reoccurring columns, and Suzy has been asked to serve as a contributing writer for 6 months. Her column, titled “Suzy Im’s Modern Marketing One Point Coaching,” will run every Wednesday on the trends and strategies page.

“I am honored to be able to use a publication as prominent as the eTimes as a platform to discuss marketing with the Korean business community,” said Professor Im. Using real examples from her illustrious 16-year career, Suzy plans to discuss how modern marketing has transformed based on the technology revolution. She will also offer concrete tips on marketing strategy and tactics to grow modern businesses in the global realm.

Suzy’s first article appeared in both print and online editions of the newspaper in January. Using the example of a midsize company whose growth had stagnated before its engagement with TribalVision, she focused on the change in the buyer’s journey and resulting shift in modern marketing. As Suzy stated, “In the Modern Marketing Revolution, it has become ever more difficult to communicate with consumers through traditional marketing methods.”

Another key takeaway from the article highlights the opportunities provided by Big Data. Using data, marketers today can understand the patterns of buyers’ behavior and better align their marketing with the consumer decision journey. These methods shorten the sales cycle, improve the buyer’s journey, and ultimately spur business growth. Suzy concluded her article by encouraging readers to use data to open up new ways to approach and convert consumers.

Upcoming articles will cover other topics in modern marketing strategy and implementation including; influencer marketing, inbound marketing, lead generation, and modern technology. Suzy will continue to rely on her extensive marketing experience – from TribalVision to Asian powerhouses such as LG, Samsung, and MK Media – for future columns.

Held every March at the Hilton New York, MJSA Expo is the largest and longest-running show dedicated to professional excellence in jewelry making and design. Chris’ presentation – titled Market Smarter and scheduled from 3:30 to 5 pm on March 9th – will teach both large and small jewelry manufacturers and designers how to develop a robust strategic plan. “When compiled, a company’s marketing efforts are often scattered, ineffective, and unmeasured. By setting objectives for the future and defining strategies for moving forward, jewelry manufacturers and designers can really take their business to the next level,” said Chris. Chris’ presentation will help MJSA members identify the most cost-effective strategies, channels, and solutions to meet marketing and growth objectives.
