TribalVision CEO Chris Ciunci spoke as a panelist at a Constant Contact New England event on June 27th to discuss the social media marketing best practices. Constant Contact, one of the nation’s largest email automation providers, organized the event, titled Make Social Marketing Work for You, to give local business owners the chance to learn the latest trends in the world of social media from marketing and business experts.
The event, held at the Providence Marriott, included seminars on Facebook promotion, quality content generation and online event promotion, as well as a Q&A with social media and business experts. On the Q&A panel, Chris and other marketing experts shared insights for over an hour with an audience of Constant Contact clients and interested small and mid-size business owners. “My team and I spend our days in the trenches developing and implementing marketing initiatives. Most business owners are so busy running the day to day operations of their business that they don’t have the time to deep dive into marketing, so I love to contribute at these events to provide some practical tips and to jump start their digital marketing in the right direction,” Chris said.
As Chris discussed, effective social media marketing can be much simpler than it seems. Traditional methods of outreach are proving less and less effective, and social media services like Facebook and LinkedIn are becoming staples of the business world. And unlike sending thousands of direct mail pieces or placing radio spots, these new avenues can be much more cost effective, while still garnering thousands of impressions and building a solid framework for lead generation. While at the event, Chris also discussed the importance of having a detailed marketing action plan in place along with having engaged staff carrying out the efforts to ensure that the upfront strategy does not fall to the ground due to sub-par execution.
