Graphic Design Trends for 2023

Design trends are constantly evolving, and it’s important to incorporate these themes while finding a way to stand out. Read more in our blog post to learn these five tips to improve your next graphic design project.

1) Brand Minimalism

In order to project an authentic brand perception, product designs are taking a turn towards minimalism. Monochromatic color palettes with simple text are on the rise, which strips the design of any outlandish branding and creates reliability in the brand itself.

2) Creative Typography

Simple sans-serif fonts are on the back burner this year, and expressive & experimental typography is stepping up. Text-based designs are pushing boundaries and including unusual color combinations and even riding the line of legibility.

3) Y2K Resurfacing

Bright pinks and blues, 3D graphics, and space-inspired imagery are making a comeback this year. Just as fashion trends from the 2000s are coming back, so are the quirky and extravagant design trends from that era. Nostalgia at its best.

4) Bright Gradients

Experimental gradients are taking what was already a versatile and important tool for adding depth to designs and taking it a step further. Multicolored blends of shades that aren’t limited to starting and stopping from edge-to-edge are expanding the way gradients are used.

5) Bright Pastels

Soft and cheerful pastel colors are trending in the wake of high-res and rich screens. They are soothing as much as they are playful. During a time when people need some positivity, these pastels are here to lift moods and brighten social feeds.
