TribalVision VP Suzy Im Selected to Author ‘Market Smarter’ Column Series in Korean eTimes

TribalVision Vice President Suzy Im has been selected to author a guest column series about marketing in the Korean business newspaper ETNews, better known as the eTimes. The paper periodically invites industry thought leaders to write articles or reoccurring columns, and Suzy has been asked to serve as a contributing writer for 6 months. Her column, titled “Suzy Im’s Modern Marketing One Point Coaching,” will run every Wednesday on the trends and strategies page.

“I am honored to be able to use a publication as prominent as the eTimes as a platform to discuss marketing with the Korean business community,” said Professor Im. Using real examples from her illustrious 16-year career, Suzy plans to discuss how modern marketing has transformed based on the technology revolution. She will also offer concrete tips on marketing strategy and tactics to grow modern businesses in the global realm.

Suzy’s first article appeared in both print and online editions of the newspaper in January. Using the example of a midsize company whose growth had stagnated before its engagement with TribalVision, she focused on the change in the buyer’s journey and resulting shift in modern marketing. As Suzy stated, “In the Modern Marketing Revolution, it has become ever more difficult to communicate with consumers through traditional marketing methods.”

Another key takeaway from the article highlights the opportunities provided by Big Data. Using data, marketers today can understand the patterns of buyers’ behavior and better align their marketing with the consumer decision journey. These methods shorten the sales cycle, improve the buyer’s journey, and ultimately spur business growth. Suzy concluded her article by encouraging readers to use data to open up new ways to approach and convert consumers.

Upcoming articles will cover other topics in modern marketing strategy and implementation including; influencer marketing, inbound marketing, lead generation, and modern technology. Suzy will continue to rely on her extensive marketing experience – from TribalVision to Asian powerhouses such as LG, Samsung, and MK Media – for future columns.
